We normally support applications that we have developed, but sometime take on application support for third-party applications. Wherever possible, the same people who have done the original development will undertake support, so you get expert assistance immediately. Because we plan our development schedules to allow us to fit support requests in as needed, we are more able to provide instant support than an organisation operating support separate from development.
Second-Line Support
We do not normally provide first-level user support in the use of applications as we expect an organisation's help desk will deal with this.
